# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The whole thing comes together in 13 minutes, making it perfect for weeknight cravings or when you're caught between meals.
  • Your air fryer does all the heavy lifting—the bread gets crispy while the cheese melts into these perfect little pockets, no babysitting required.
  • It's infinitely customizable, so you can raid your fridge and make something different every time.
02 -
  • Don't use cold butter straight from the fridge—it won't spread evenly and you'll tear your bread trying; softening it for five minutes makes all the difference.
  • The air fryer's temperature is forgiving, but timing matters more; check around the 6-minute mark so you catch the moment when the cheese is bubbly but before the bread burns.
  • Moisture is the enemy of crispiness, so don't over-sauce and avoid very watery toppings like fresh tomato slices without draining them first.
03 -
  • Make your garlic butter in advance and store it in the fridge; it's ready to go whenever hunger strikes, and you can spread cold garlic butter faster if you warm the knife under hot water first.
  • If you're feeding a crowd, assemble everything on your bread slices before air frying, then reheat at 320°F for 2–3 minutes if needed—nothing burns, everything stays warm and crispy.
